Ofsted Report

Pupils make outstanding progress at Long Close School, Slough

A recent report from Ofsted, has found Long Close School to have "made good progress since its last inspection, and the leaders are always seeking ways to improve." This very positive report highlighted the school's key strengths of high quality teaching, outstanding pastoral care, providing a broad and balanced curriculum, high attainment and first-rate relationships between pupils and staff."

Comments from the Inspection Report:
"Long Close School successfully meets its stated aims and provides a good quality of education for its pupils. The overall effectiveness of the Early Years Foundation Stage is good. Pupils make outstanding progress overall because the teaching is consistently good and the pupils have exemplary attitudes towards learning."

Former Head Teacher, Mrs Wendy Holland, said of the Report:
"At Long Close School we are all very proud of the pupils and their achievements and the very positive report is a clear indication of the "good practice" in all areas of the school that we have worked so hard to achieve. I am again, very proud of the pupils and staff and grateful for the support of the parents."
