It is my pleasure to invite you to browse through our website, which will give you an outline of the school's organisation and convey something of the atmosphere of the school and the aspirations and achievements of our pupils and staff.
If you are considering Long Close School for your child, a personal visit will enable you to experience for yourself the friendly, happy and purposeful learning environment.
We are a co-educational school that prepares children for 11+ and for GCSE. Our class sizes encourage high standards for all abilities and our pupils obtain excellent results.
We will focus on your child's talents so that they may be developed and your child reaches his or her full potential. Your child will learn new skills and consolidate others, while we also place great emphasis on art, drama, music, design technology and sport.
I am proud of the fact that we continue to foster an atmosphere of effort, attainment and enthusiasm, where your child will be encouraged to grow in confidence and gain the skills needed for coping effectively with the many challenges ahead.
