Year 11 learn Cornell Note Taking System
Year 11 students are being taught the Cornell Note Taking system in their English lessons during the last week of Autumn term.
The method was originally devised in the 1940s by Walter Pauk, an education professor at Cornell University. It provides a systematic format for organising notes which is suited to secondary school and A Level students. This approach to writing study notes is thought to improve retention of key information from classroom teaching and lectures.
