Year 7 pupils work with Year 4 on their maths skills

Year 7 pupils helped to teach Mrs Rees’s Year 4 maths set this morning, using games and giving their advice on the best way to add, subtract, multiply and divide fractions. Afterwards they all took part in a timetables challenge to test their mental arithmetic, and the Year 4 pupils gave Year 7 a very good run for their money! In fact, the first and second to finish were Manvir and Nikolas from Year 4, with Tegh from Year 7 following close behind. An even spread of pupils from both year groups managed to finish the challenge in under three and a half minutes (see group photo on the next post). Well done to them all!
